Cynthia Davis
Program Coordinator
Cynthia is the Department of Foreign Languages & Culture’s receptionist/program coordinator. As such, she is the department’s first line of contact and the “go-to” person for questions and information regarding the department. Cynthia processes graduate applications for our MA in Spanish program, processes time-slip payroll and time cards, faculty leave reports, and student evaluations. She is responsible for the time schedule for each semester and inputting course information into ROOMS. Cynthia is responsible for our Annual Awards Ceremony and our Holiday Potluck—scheduling, sending invitations, making certificates, and organizing. She does a variety of other office work i.e. processing mail, room scheduling, ordering supplies, copy machine maintenance, etc. to keep the office running smoothly.
Cynthia is a Pullman area native. While attending college at WSU she worked part-time at Ferdinand’s—she remembers when a can of Cougar Gold cost $3.15 (with tax). After graduation in 1974 she started working in the then Staff Personnel Department and later the Dean of Students Office. She left WSU in 1976 moving to Missoula, Montana and later Spokane, Washington. In 1994 Cynthia came back home to WSU and the Department of Foreign Languages & Cultures…where she has been since. Cynthia has two sons, Preston and Brandon, who are both WSU alums.
