CHINESE MAJOR

The new major in Chinese Language and Culture, has been available since the fall semester 2007. Enrollment in our Chinese-language program has skyrocketed in recent years. Eight years ago, just four students were studying the language at here at WSU, but now enrollment is approximately 200 students each year.

CHINESE MINOR

The minor in Chinese requires Chin 101, 102, 203, 204 (or equivalent in fluency or Advanced Placement credits, as determined by department) plus 9 hours. Three of these 9 hours must be in one course on Chinese film, culture or literature taught in English. Six hours must be at the 300-400 level, 3 of which must be taken at WSU.
