Macintosh IME Help

Q: How do I enter foreign language characters in to word processor while using a Macintosh Computer?

A: The process of typing foreign characters in the Mac OS is quite simple. Once you have entered Microsoft Word you simply need to change the keyboard layout that is currently assigned.

To do this click on the flag at the top right side of the screen. The look of the flag corresponds to the current keyboard layout. The menu will drop down and reveal all of the possible languages to use. Then simply click the language you need and start typing.

Q: Will the spell-check work with the other languages?

A: Yes! When you change the language the computer will also change the dictionary and thesaurus to match.
