Falles Concert 2009
The Falles Concert 2009, sponsored by the Department of Foreign Languages & Cultures and the International Center at WSU, on April 14th was a great success. The Butch's Den room didn't have enough chairs for everyone (more than one hundred people attended the concert).
The International Center (from the International Programs Department) paid for the room and chairs rental and the beverages. The Pullman Community Band played for free and are committed to do it again next year. Faculty and Staff made this event possible including Cecil Williams taking pictures and video, Tsun-Ju Lin and Sere Previto (her paints) creating the Falla, Vilma Navarro-Daniels, Ana María Rodríguez-Vilvaldi and Francisco Manzo-Robledo donating stuff for the students awards, Jamie Billings and Mike Owens moving the Falla from the Lab to the CUB, Eloy González supporting the event, Chad, Paulette and Rebecca from International Center doing the marketing, Heidi Jarvis and the Community Band playing "our" music.
Thanks to all who helped out and attended for your wonderful support of this event.
